The Lightbox showcases the work of award-winning documentray & editorial photographer Simon Kirwan. In 2000, Simon was named The Observer Outdoor Photographer of the Year, and he has travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and Africa, photographing people, places and mountains for The Lightbox Picture Library, which contains over 4,000 images from locations all over the world.

Simon Kirwan is a specialist advertising, aerial, outdoor event, architectural, location and outdoor photographer, and works in a wide range of styles for a diverse client list, including the BBC, Adidas UK, Balfour Beatty plc, Shepherd Construction, Kelloggs and Littlewoods plc. His images have appeared in many books and publications, including The Guardian, The Rough Guides, Outdoor Photography, Global Adventure, Mens Health, & Ultrafit, and he has contributed words and pictures to many outdoor, travel and photographic web sites.
