2000, Simon Kirwan was named The Observer Outdoor Photographer of the Year, and
has travelled extensively in Europe, Asia, America and Africa, photographing people,
places and mountains for The Lightbox Picture Library, which contains over 6000
images from locations all over the world. |

Kirwan's images have appeared in many books and publications, including The Guardian,
The Rough Guides, Outdoor Photography, Digital Camera, Grand Designs, Global Adventure,
Mens Health, & Ultrafit, and he has contributed words and pictures to many

Four books of landscapes and panoramas of the Peak District and North Wales are
now published by Myriad Books. Five books are currently in production, covering
